In partnership with the Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association (AAOA), the AOF extends this award to life partners of graduating Osteopathic medical students who best exemplify the type of unselfish, immeasurable support and personal sacrifice that is crucial to their partner’s success. - AOF/AOA Presidential Memorial Leadership Scholarship - CLOSED
This educational award was created to recognize Osteopathic medical students committed to the principals of Osteopathic medicine and who have taken great strides toward becoming top student leaders. These individuals have been instrumental in motivating people and they take conscious, well-calculated steps to develop themselves and others. One educational scholarship in the amount of $10,000 will be awarded to a student who exemplifies Osteopathic principals and aligns with the scholarship purpose. - AOF Sterling K. Welch Scholars Grants - Accepting Nominations through MAY 31, 2023
Named in honor of Sterling Welch, DO, for his outstanding generosity to the AOF and his desire to support Osteopathic medical students and promote education, this grant was established to provide monetary aid to Osteopathic medical students. Each College/School of Osteopathic Medicine (COM/SOM) and branch campus may nominate one student who is in significant financial need to receive a $2,000 grant. - AOF Golden Ticket Scholarship - CLOSED
The Golden Ticket Scholarship recognizes those who despite financial obstacles have achieved academic excellence, displayed leadership, made a commitment to community outreach, and embody Osteopathic tenants and philosophy. Four educational scholarships will be awarded to Osteopathic students who exemplify the scholarship's purpose. Three students will be recognized as finalists and awarded a $5,000 educational scholarships. One of the four students will be selected as the Golden Ticket Winner and awarded an additional $15,000.
Opening Fall 2023
- AOF Paul S. McCord, DO, Memorial Scholarship
This educational award of $1,500 is given annually to one student from the third-year class at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (MWU/CCOM) who has demonstrated a desire for and is committed to providing medical services in underserved and/or disadvantaged areas.
