2025 SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS
The AOF Thomas A. Quinn, DO, Osteopathic Scholarship was made possible through a generous contribution from Thomas A. Quinn, DO, and his beloved wife Sissy, and is intended to recognize students in the profession who exemplify what it means to be an Osteopathic physician. This Fund provides up to two (2) annual scholarships of $5,000 to OMS II or III students in good academic standing (top 50% of class).
The AOF Prairie State Scholarship was established in 2015 through a gift from the Illinois Osteopathic Educational Foundation to provide financial assistance to an Osteopathic medical student who graduated from an Illinois high school to help reduce the cost of education. One (1) annual educational scholarship award in the amount of $5,000 will be presented to one (1) Osteopathic medical student who exemplifies the ideals of the Osteopathic profession, is an exemplary student and serves as an ambassador for the profession.
The AOF Osteopathic Research Incubator Grants give early career investigators the financial seed money needed to begin their own Osteopathic medical research project, build research experience/expertise, and initiate projects that can lead to more in-depth research. This grant is intended to help prepare early career investigators to eventually compete with more senior investigators for future research grants from other funders. Up to 5 seed grants ranging from $1,000 - $5,000 will be awarded to early career investigators for a project period of 12-18 months. Payments will be made in two installments: 75% upon signing of the grant agreement and 25% upon completion of a final report within 30 days of the project end date.
The 2025 AOF/AAOA Holiday Hugs grant application will open later in the fall.

NOTE: Students may apply for multiple scholarships or grants in one cycle; however only one financial award is offered per person annually. If an individual is selected as the top scorer for two scholarships or grants, the greater of the two will be given.
